Privacy Policy
What happens to your information when you play Deep Dive Danger. In plain English.
The short version. We never ask who you are. There’s no sign-up, no account, and no password. Your progress stays on your phone. The only thing that leaves your device is the ad data our advertising partner needs to show you an ad. We don’t sell anything about you, because we don’t have anything about you.
Who we are
Deep Dive Danger is made by Sirgeb Entertainment. If anything here worries you, just email chybesta@gmail.com and a real person will answer.
What the game saves on your phone
The game keeps a small save file on your device. It stays there. It is never sent to us and there is no copy of it anywhere else. It remembers:
- Which levels you’ve beaten and your best scores
- The score you’ve banked to spend in the store
- The diver kits and harpoons you own, and which ones you’re wearing
- Whether you turned the music or sound effects off
None of that says anything about you — there’s no name, no email, no phone number, no location, no account attached to it.
What the ads collect
Deep Dive Danger is free because it shows ads. Those ads come from our advertising partner, which collects some information to pick an ad and check you actually saw it:
- Your device’s advertising ID — a number you can reset or switch off any time
- Your IP address, which gives a rough idea of your country or city (not your street)
- Basic device details — phone model, operating system, language, app version
- Whether an ad loaded, played to the end, or was tapped
Our advertising partner does this, not us. It’s covered by their privacy policy. All we ever see is a total of how much the ads earned — never anything about an individual player.
More about where ads show up is on the ads page.
Third-party measurement and advertising partners
We work with third-party partners to learn which ad, link or friend’s invite led to an install, to make our links open the right screen in the game, and to show our ads to people likely to enjoy it. To do that, they receive a few in-game moments — starting or clearing a level, game over, watching a rewarded video, unlocking a Store item, sharing an invite — together with:
- Your device’s advertising ID (where you allow it) and basic device details
- Your IP address (for a rough country, not your street)
- When the game was installed and opened, and which link or ad it came from
- If the game crashes, a crash report (what went wrong in the code, device model and OS version) so we can fix it
We only see campaign totals and where installs came from — never your name or contact details, because the game never has them. Each partner handles this data under its own privacy policy. In Europe and the UK nothing is shared with them for measurement or advertising unless you agree on the consent screen.
Game reminders
If you allow notifications, the game may send an occasional reminder — about once every two weeks. They’re delivered by our notification service, which gives your phone an anonymous notification ID. Every player gets the same message; we never see or store your device’s ID. Switch them off any time in your phone’s notification settings.
What we never do
- We never ask you to make an account or sign in.
- We never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- We never ask for your exact location, camera, microphone, photos or files.
- We don’t follow what you do in other apps or on websites — our third-party partners only record which ad or link brought you to the game and what you do inside it.
- We don’t sell or rent information about you. Not to anyone, ever.
- We can’t take your money — there are no in-app purchases.
Playing offline
The whole game works with no internet connection. Only ads, third-party measurement and game reminders need one. If you play offline, nothing at all leaves your phone.
This website
This website works without cookies. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, a website analytics service sets cookies that count visits and show which pages are read, which browser and device type you use, roughly which country you’re in, and which site linked you here. Nothing is used for advertising, and we never see who you are. If you click Decline (or ignore the banner), no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Adults only (18+)
Deep Dive Danger is intended for players aged 18 and over. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we’ll delete it straight away. There’s more on our child safety page.
Your choices
- Turn off personalised ads. On Android: Settings → Google → Ads. On iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You’ll still see ads, they’ll just be less tailored.
- Wipe everything the game saved. Instructions are on the delete your data page.
- Ask us what we have on you. Email us and we’ll tell you. The honest answer is almost always “nothing” — but you’re entitled to ask, and in many countries you have a legal right to.
If you’re in Europe or the UK, the game shows you a consent screen before your information is used for personalised ads or install measurement, and you can say no. That choice covers our advertising partner and our other third-party partners, and you can change it later from the game’s Settings.
How long things are kept
Your save file stays on your phone until you delete it or uninstall the game. Ad information is kept by our advertising partner, and install and event information by our third-party partners, under their own rules.
Keeping it safe
Your save file sits in the game’s own private storage, which other apps can’t read. Ads travel over an encrypted connection. And the best protection of all: we don’t hold anything about you on a server, so there’s nothing of yours for anyone to steal from us.
If this policy changes
If we change something that matters, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and mention it in the update notes. Carrying on playing means you’re OK with the new version.
